Home Made Vegetable daliya idli

Ingredients
- 2 cups broken wheat
- 3 cups sour curds
- salt to taste
- 1/4 cup diced carrot
- 1/4cup green peas
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp freshly grated coconut
- ½ tbsp. ginger garlic paste
- 3tsp vegetable oil
Steps
- Heat little oil in a pan, add the broken wheat and saute till they turn pink in colour.
- Cool, add the salt, curds and cumin seeds ginger garlic paste and blend in a mixer till smooth, using water if required to make the texture smooth.
- Cover and keep aside for at least an hour.
- Add in the carrots and coriander into the batter.
- Grease the idli molds using oil with the help of a silicon brush. Pour a spoonful of batter on top and steam in an idli steamer or a cooker for 15 minutes or till cooked.
- Serve hot with sambar and chutney.
