Have Healthy Nutrition Brown Fried Rice

Ingredients
- cups water
- 1 ½ cups long grain brown rice
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 60gm onion, chopped
- 60gm green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 25gm spring onion stalk, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 30gm green peas
- teaspoons sesame oil
- 25gm baby corn, chopped
- 50gm red and yellow capsicum, chopped
Steps
- In a saucepan bring water to a boil. Stir in rice. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.
- While the rice is getting cooked, heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium
- heat. Add onions, bell peppers, garlic, baby corn, and pepper flakes, to taste. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Increase heat to medium-high and stir in cooked rice, chopped onion stalk and soy sauce.
- Stir-fry for 1 minute. Add peas and cook 1 minute more.
- Remove from heat. Add sesame oil and mix well. Garnish with some spring onions.
- Serve hot.
